Professionally, I am interested in a career working with data, specifically machine learning. This could either be as a traditional data scientist, data analyst, machine learning engineer, quantitative financial analyst, or economist.
Insights on data, facilitated the ease of data collection in the digital age, will drastically change our lives.
I intend to be a part of this revolution.
Right now, I am focusing on learning the math behind data science. I am also attempting to get experience working with data. The picture on the right is of the UCI "Datathon" 2024, in which
I participated and worked on a project that used geospatial analysis and regression techniques to reveal insights from consumer data in Orange Country.
I recently was a Data Analyst for HP Tech Ventures
(HP's venture capital wing). HP Tech Ventures researches new start-ups, specifically in the exciting field of artifical intelligence. Beyond exposing me to the world of venture capital, and all the
exciting, disruptive AI companies that are doing very cool work, I also developed technical skills. While there, I worked in deal sourcing, specifically related to company financials, and used Excel for cleaning relevant data, SQL to manage the data, Python (pandas, Matplotlib) for analysis and visualization
to create a presentation for the HP investors board in which I pitched my most promising startup.
